We are excited to announce that we will be offering the Extended School Year Program for the summer of 2026!  The purpose of this correspondence is to share pertinent information regarding programmatic details, such as timeline, registration, and contact information for the ESYP Principals, in case you encounter any questions.

Below, please find the listing of each program, description, start and end times, and dates. Some programs have a link to register, while others are based on school and district leader recommendation. The deadline to register for 21st Century and Empire Programs is Monday, June 15, 2026.

Empire ESYP Enrichment Programs

The ESYP offers scholars the opportunity to engage with and collaborate with peers in small group settings. Scholars are provided with opportunities to learn new skills or engage in new activities based on their interests. These programs also provide a focus on social and emotional learning, enrichment opportunities, and the health and well-being of our scholars. (Current 2nd-grade through 12th-grade students, varies by program)

Empire ESYP 
Black Rock Program

Black Rock Forest (7/6-7/31) 9:00am-1:30pm (Current 2nd-8th Graders) 

Black Rock Forest, located in Cornwall, New York, offers immersive summer programs that connect students with nature through hands-on scientific exploration. In partnership with local organizations, the forest hosts educational field trips and activities for students of all ages. Participants engage in diverse themes such as art, hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, and ecology, conducting experiments like water quality testing and contributing to citizen science projects. These programs aim to foster a deeper understanding of environmental science and conservation in a dynamic, outdoor setting.

21st Century (elementary)

LEGO Program

An enrichment program for current 1-4 grade scholars to nurture STEM skills by using LEGOs. This program is for students would will be entering grades 1-4.

At this point, all applications will be reviewed; this is not a first-come, first-served program.  For processing purposes, any applications received after the deadline will be placed directly onto a waitlist.

Notification to families regarding students’ acceptance status will be sent out on or around June 25, 2026, via email.
